The price for using the lighting system on one day should cover the costs and reward the value of the lighting system and the services.

We thought for a long time to find a simple and fair formula for the price of the lighting system and the necessary services per day. The formula for calculating the price has become very simple:

Number of square meters of stage space * 20 euros, up to a maximum of 720 euros / day, plus 19% sales tax.

This formula best reflects the performance of the users: If the stage is rather small, it is a smaller venue in which less financially potent bands are likely to perform. As an example: The stage is 4 * 3 meters in size, results in 12 square meters * 20 euros = 240 euros for the entire lighting system including transport and assembly and dismantling.

Another example: A stage with 8 * 5 meters = 40 square meters * 20 euros = 800 euros, here the upper limit applies, of 720 euros rent / day plus 19% sales tax. This stage is very likely in a venue that may have a capacity of 200 - 800 guests and thus generate enough income to raise the rental price.

For comparison

A conventionally structured lighting system of the dimension and performance and function class that corresponds to the good-light-for-all system costs between 2000 and 4000 euros rent per day including assembly and dismantling and transport. This does not include the additional costs of the organizer due to the longer set-up and dismantling times. A conventional system requires an estimated 2.5 to 3.5 hours to set up and approx. 2 hours to dismantle.

The programming of the controller of this imaginary conventional lighting system is often not able to generate artistic show light, because the controller (light mixer) has to be reprogrammed every time by the service provider after it has been set up. Since this reprogramming takes place under time pressure shortly before the Doors-Open, it often only contains simple control commands to the lamps, which rarely meet an artistic requirement.

The controller of the Gutes-Licht-für-Alle system offers a programming that has been optimized and further developed over months and is available immediately after switching on the system.
